Hello, I am 9.5 weeks from last dose and still sick. I slept 7.5 hours last night, but woke feeling awful. Still having GI distress, anxiety, headaches, fear that this isn't going to end, weak and fatigued. Generally sick, body aches. Please, if you have gone through this, and it has taken this long, let me know so that I can draw on your strength. Thanks, David
hi david, i am so sorry you are still going through such an awful time. i have reduced back down to 15. i do not have stomach problems, but i do have anxiety and that horrible fatigue. i will see psychiatrist on tuesday to see what to do next. my family dr. said , there are no issues coming off mirtz. i wanted to ask him ifhe ever took it!! i have been very close to going to the hospital ...can they not do anything for you? it's pure torture
I have been twice, and every diagnostic test that was ordered comes back normal. I guess one of the bad things about withdrawal is that there are no measureable or visible symptoms. There is only what you tell them, and their response is why don't you go back on the medicine if it is causing you all this grief? I can't tell you how that makes me feel. David
Hi David, so sorry to hear you're still suffering after all this time, it's really unfair that there's nothing docs can do to help ease the pain & distress of WD. Hoping your pain is over soon, thoughts & best wishes with you x
Many Thanks. David
Hi david, just wanted to let you know I've been thinking about you & hoping & praying that you're feeling a tiny bit better, stay strong David, you can do this!! Xx
Brany, thank you very much. I am in a bad place, this is getting harder to deal with, it is weraring me down. The support of forum members like you are what is keeping me going. Take care, David
Is there nothing at all that docs can help you with while you're going through this torture? Seems so unfair when there are programmes for people that are addicted to one thing or another, yet we have to suffer.
If you feel up to it, check in with us when you can, I've found the support on here amazing
God bless David xx
Brandy, when you mention heroin, cocaine, crack, crystal meth, and other street drugs to a doc, they roll out the red carpet to the rehab center and treat you like royalty. Mention Remeron or mirtazapine, and you get the look that says," give me a break" or " oh please". I guess if you get hooked on the street by a criminal with an illegal, in some cases home made street drug, the doc wants to be the one to "save" you. But, if the doc is the one who gave you the drug that you are withdrawing from, he wants to save face by pretending that he is not at fault. I have worked with and around quite a few doctors, and one thing most dont like is to be blamed for anything. They want a handprint on the back, not a shoeprint in the seat of their pants. Not all, but most. God Bless You as Well, David
docs should be held accountable to a degree, I was in no fit state to argue the meds I was prescribed after my breakdown, I just took whatever was given & put my trust in the doc prescribing for me, hoping that I'd claw my way out of a very big dark black hole, thankfully I'm out of that big scary dark place, however the WD would be enough to start that downward spiral again, seems like it's a viscous circle for all of us in one way or another, hoping these days/nights pass for you real soon x
Thank you for sharing . Brandy, I am hoping for the same thing. God bless you, David
Hey David, hang in there. I hope the days start getting more manageable. Sounds like this is one awful drug to get off. I'm so glad I did some extensive reading before I got more than a week on it. Stay strong x
