I had keyhole surgery 9 months ago. Everything went well during the procedure and my gallbladder was removed containing a 4 cm stone. Recently I have been experiencing similar problems pre op and have a constant bitter taste in my mouth. I feel generally unwell and fed up. Anyone else experience similar problems?
Hi angeltaylor I had mine out due to 1 stone too 9 months ago tomorrow! I did have that bitter taste in my mouth for a while after the operation but have been taking psyllium husk fibre with digestive enzymes for the last 6 months as had the diarrhea. Have you had a scope to check your tummy for bile or acid? It could be either. What other symptoms do you have? Have you tried digestive enzymes at all? They might help. Are you able to eat? Where you ok for a while after the operation and then these symptoms started? Unfortunately we aren't told of any possible side effects to this operation and are only told how wonderful we will feel afterwards! X
Hi there thanks for your prompt reply. I've really only started to have problems this past 4 weeks. I haven't seen my doctor or taken anything for it. I'm going to get a check up asap. I don't have a great appetite and have occasionally had bilayer colic pain. I'm so disappointed 😕
I had my gallbladder removed at end of April. A few small stones.
I still have colic every now and again but the pasin in my right side that I had with gallstones has gone.
I also have pain and soreness in my back passage a bit usually just after I have managed to open my bowels, but I have been quite constipated. Dr said it would settle down .
Hope things settle down for you too.
Take care and keep in touch
