Hi,
I'm wondering how long it has taken people to get to full remision when taking venlafaxine please? I have GAD and I'm on 150mg per day. I went up to 225mg per day but it was too strong and after 14 weeks of taking it I went back down to 150mg. I have been on these for 9 weeks an although I do feel a bit better I'm still not 100% well. I'm still very up and down daily with anxiety, I'm having heat plaps after I take my tablets (immediate release) and my mind seems very heightened in my temples.
I also take a brand called viepax, does anyone have any experience with these please? Thanks
Could be worth trying the extended release? These have helped with my anxiety.
Hey James. Stick with what ur doing. These meds do take awhile to work and it sure is worth it in the long run. Be patient. And incorporate a little exercise in ur daily routine.
hi i found that the slow release work better for a long term and as i got better cut down and went on the instant release on a y low dose of 37.5 hope this is of help

sorry to say but years , but everyone is different some people only take them for a short time i understand. but the benefit was a lot better for me personally on slow release antidepressant seem to be a very 'personal ' medication and finding out how long it wiil take is very difficult. sorry i cant be of more help
Hi James. I'm just starting my second week of 75 mg's of Ven. Was on 37.5 mg's for 8 weeks. I exercise about one to two hrs a day which helps a lot. Gotta have a plan and stick to it I guess. Its a process. So hang in there and seek ppl's advice. Good luck
