A bit worried

Hello, I'm 14 weeks post op and I seem to be at a standstill in my recovery. I've been doing really well until 12 weeks since then I'm quite swollen and feel lopsided, I feel like I'm sitting on a lump

sometimes. I had pain and sensitivity around the wound at my 6 week check and my surgeon said to contact him if this did not

resolve in a month.I've been checking in with you all every night

and found your comments and support very helpful. Is it normal

to be like this at this stage or should I get checked. I'm becoming a bit cranky which is unlike me but I sometimes find it all a bit

wearing.

I also get that feeling of sitting on a lump, my PT said I should ice my hip, it did help, said I was still swollen.

Thanks jane I wasnt offered  any physio I was on the "fast track programme"  it probably would have been helpful and picked up any problems. Isnt it funny how you feel responsible if things are not going to plan. I pushed my grandaughter in her buggy yesterday and picked  my grandson up from school and last night I found it very hard to sit. I am going to ring my surgeon today and ask him to check.

Yes I have PT, but Doctor doesn't want me doing ant exercises on my left hip. I had LTHP, first two weeks also had a 75* restiction I am now at the 90* restriction. Hope everything goes good for you.
