A Break in different ways.

We have been visiting various interesting places like castles and Neolithic Sites, also have been going around Historic Houses, I find my interest in History and Natural History have been satisfied for now.

I got myself part stuck in an Neolithic Tomb so now I have to do as I am told and loose some weight  What is getting me now is I am falling down more often than before and I fell down in a car park two weeks ago and bruised my  Right Arm and dislocated a thumb and that laid me up for a few days. I managed to reset my thumb although the bruising extended from my hand to shoulder. It took about a week to recover my confidence

Life gets worse as we get older and we become our own worse enemy and do some very silly things. My Opiates came in very useful, as did my TENS.

Sad to say I have knocked out the wind from my sails and I now feel so much more restricted when getting around. I feel a Electric Disability Scooter awaits, rather than wheelchair. I suppose I will need to carry it around in the boot or trailer ?

BOB

Sorry about your fall. Hope you get the wind back in your sails soon!

Sounds like you have seen some great places!  👍😄

Hi Bob

Sorry to hear you have fallen and knocked your confidence. What is good is that you are still getting around and still thinking about how you can get around. Getting older isn't fun but it's important to make sure you don't sit at home and fester, keep active as best you can. I desperately need to lose weight also, a daunting task when trying to do it alone. Find a weight loss buddy or come on here and we can do it together :-)

Sounds like you've seen some great places.......

Lucy

Hello Lucy

Yes I am lucky with my Wife, She is my carer, still away. Today we rest and consider what to do next. I was diagnosed with Diabetes Two just before coming away and I have begun to change my diet accordingly.

So now with my disabilities and Short Term Memory Disorder, life has become so much more complicated at near 68, although life is always a challenge and I will be visiting more stuff in the next few days etc

My weight is a real problem and now since my new diagnosis they seem to be more understanding.

Yes Lucy keep in contact, you know where I am.  When home I will be looking for diets and more sites to help me maintain a healthy lifestyle.

My main problem is I forget what I have done, so two weeks of  Holiday memories have gone and generally I cannot remember where I am at any given time. I am relying on Tourist Centres, and Historic Sites to give information on where I have been.

Hope to here from you soon
