This could be a fungal infection (tinea cruris). Is it itchy or irritating?
Check if you also have white flaky skin between your toes, as a fungal groin infection is often associated with fungal infection of the feet.
Best treatment for this is antifungal cream, such as terbinafine or clotrimazole.

yes its very itchy ans irritating. there is no dry skin between my toes though. thank you! i will check those out
