I had a TLHR 10 weeks ago followed 4days later by emergency surgery for an acute perforated ulcer. My doctor did a lateral hip replacement. I also found outI have a horizontal tear in my meniscus same side as my hip replacement. TodayI am walking, climbing stairs, driving and doing everything for myself and my family with no pain and no limp! I never thoughtI would get to this point in the days after surgery but I did. I am so happy with the results so don’t be discouraged, everything will be normal again, maybe better than normal!
Great news. Congratulations.
This really encouraging, Jean. I am at 6 weeks and doing really well but I would love to be able to reach my feet. I'm too worried to try yet but am seeing my surgeon on Monday so I'll ask when it's safe to try. I don't want to ruin his handiwork!
Fantastic, it's amazing how quickly we leave the old painful life behind.
I'm 7 weeks post-op now and I'll be off to the gym this afternoon for my first session with the rehab specialist.
Well done to you, carry on using that new pain-free hip.
