A relative of mine has been on citalopram for over a year now and in the last 6 months their voice has become very slurred alot of the time. It sometimes sounds as though she is very drunk (they are not drinkers. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this type of side effect.

Its funny reading your comments above, because i have been on citalopram for 8 days now, i havn't really experienced any side effects apart from constant thinking about past and present events. i was doing this before taking them anyway so no much change there. But what i did notice is a slight slurring in my speaking and also even though i can type perfectly well, iv noticed that i can't write. i couldn't spell my name correctly the other day, and today i had to write the word week, instead it came out as weeek, its almost impossible to write a correct sentence, even though as a professional typer i have no problem moving my fingers to type.
