A Tentative sad Christmas, nearly ?

We had one horrible shock on Saturday, we were playing with Pax on Saturday afternoon and when stroking Him we found a lump on the Lisk of the rear leg. We rang the Vet and they were finished and could not see Him till Monday, they made an appointment for fist thing this morning. We watched the snow and we began too panic. Sunday it did snow and it was there on Monday morning, all was now ice on the road.

This morning we had a slow drive to the town for Pax and His appointment, straight in the vet took samples and explained it was a fatty lump, just like His Dad and all was ok. Now we have time to talk about having the this removed in the New Year. We are still concerned although relieved. We now wonder all those negative thoughts over the weekend the upset it caused and the discomfort Pax felt as we kept checking it and showing how worried we were.

In a way we should have tried to not show our concern, all it did was upset both Me and Wife more worrying. The dog picked up on our concerns and He preferred to keep away from us. I think we must have also overdone the treats as many chews seemed to disappear into His basket.

I suppose the moral of this story is try not to worry until you know the results of the vets and for us GP. To worry just makes everyone a Drama Queen worrying about something that has been ok in the long run.

And Pax, He is having a nice chicken leg, He was more brave than both of us

BOB

Thank goodness all is ok Bob. My anxiety goes into overdrive when I think my dogs are ill , I always imagine the worst. My dogs are so sensitive, and anxious themselves ( I rescued them , found them in Spain , treated very badly , on deaths door and brought them back to u.k, ) they are so precious and I do spoil them. They have cheered me up on some bad days. They do pick up on our feelings I agree, glad pax is ok and your mind is at rest😊❤️

Pax was a Rescue Dog found on a ferry operating between Ireland and Scotland. The breader left the dog with His brother under a seat on the boat in Scotland, He was then transported down nearly two hundred miles to a Dog Trust kennel. That is where we picked Him up, He is very independent and is as bright as a button, a Collie Cross.

We will consider the best way to sort this after Christmas, He is spoilt rotten at the moment, we are all succurs to a wagging tail.
