A year after acromegaly/pituitary adenoma/high igf surgery
Hi Tim,
That’s an impressive improvement. I am interested to hear more, or have you posted it in another topic?
What was the size of the adenoma. Was the surgeon able to remove it all? Were any other Pit. hormones impacted by surgery?
I have Pituitary stalk thickening (7mm) and possibly a 6mm microadenoma (3 MRIs and they are still unsure!) - low T, low LH, raised PRL, and IGF-1 is also mildly elevated at 230-290 ng/ml (30-38nmol/L).
OGTT GH suppression test fails to suppress (I have done two now) so technically I have Acromegaly but it must be very early days as I do not have any physical signs!
