Hello,
I’m a 25 year old male and for about 6 months I’ve been going through some serious abdominal issues that doctors can’t diagnose. I’m a little over weight (but not much) and I don’t smoke and eat mostly healthy.
I get really bad abdominal cramping in my upper and lower abdomen and then when I have a BM it’s smells very bad and there’s usually oily film on top of the water. However for the most part my stools usually look healthy.... I also get a bit of reflux after I eat.
I’ve had an abdominal CT and ultra, only thing they found was non alcohol fatty liver, but not a severe case of it. All of my blood work looks great for major organs, celiac, H pylori... They also have done 2 stool tests but go figure I had perfect bowel movements those days....
Could fatty liver cause all this? I’m really not sure what could be causing all of this but it’s making it hard to eat, sleep, or work...
Please help.
Ask your doctor if the fatty liver could be responsible for your symptoms.
Hi Tim,
I also have NAFLD. I am in chronic pain in my upper right quadrant. Lately, I also have pain around my umbilical and back regions as well. Doctors do not believe it. People with NAFLD are not supposed to be in pain, so they say. But I am in chronic pain. I have a lot of health issues.
Stinky poo? Yes, that tends to happen when your liver is not working properly. The oily food can't be processed properly, so its oily and stinky.
I recommend, eating healthy. No fried and fatty foods. Try drinking loads of water, if possible and exercising, like walking everyday.
I am sorry your struggling but what your experiencing is normal with that problem. Have you had your gall bladder checked? It sounds like its starting to go.
Keep me posted. I'm happy to talk..
Thanks Danielle,
Both my ultrasound and ct scan showed no issues with my gallbladder...
