Hi I have an abdominal herna look five months pregnant it was okay but now it I painful and finding it reallyhard and agony opening bowls what should I please help also got a bad back
You need to see your doctor if the pain is acute asap, if you start being sick and do not stop being sick go to A&E. If pain is chronic and not being sick doctors asap. Hope you get it sorted.
Dear Jill:
I also have an abdominal hernia and suffer greatly with constipation. Here in the states I tried acupuncture and it did help. There is a chineese herbal tea to cook that is just great. My greatest relief came with a heaping teaspoon of myralax in eight onces of water. I started with once a day until relief was achieved and then every other day after that.
Look I realize the subject is personal but a supository from the drug store may be needed to break up the blockage and relax that ever life controling muscle. Rubber gloves are very cheep and will make a one, two, three you're done tpye of job. LOL A little laughter will also help. Hopefully this helped you.
What about the hernia? I'm supossed to have a piece of mesh put under laproscopically pretty soon. Is surgery in the future for you also?
Warm Regards
Ron
Thanks both of you I'm on 8 satchets of laxido a day but still not helping last time I saw gp over it she said let's saw your joints first I feel full all time the pain is agony especially in my abdomen do you think it should be operated on I can't carry on like this I'm finding it hard to walk and need a chair with bag and legs without this sorry for moaning hugs jill xxx
I had a an abdominal hernia about the size of a football for years and doctors wouldn't operate because of various health problems. One morning I woke up to terrible pain in my abdomen and ended up having to get operated for a strangulated hernia. If pain is really bad I would go to doctor as soon as possible.
Hi Jill
I suffered with constipation and bouts of scikness for years caused by adhesions from 3 c sections. At the age of 66 my bowel eventually perforated I had an emergency laprotomy to resection my bowel which did not heal properly whcih in turn caused an incisional hernia. I had this reparied 2 years ago with mesh, mixed results. But doctos do tend to leave you until something drastic happens, I was advised to go straight to the hospital if I thought my bowels had perforated. Not saying this will happen to you, best to keep in touch with your doctor. Hope you get it sorted
I'm so very sorry you suffer so terrible dear. Me? I'd rather deal with a bag (you know what I mean...) for awhile just to get control of things. Youtube it, not too hard to deal with although I never owned one. Oh my, what a way to put it. Here in the US I'd insist on a specialist and not a gp. (gp is General Practicioner correct?)
You could swallow a camera and that will tell them a great deal. Best luck and God Bless.
Ron
