Ache in leg, pelvis and groin

So this is my 11th week post op of inguinal hernia of the left side. I returned to work on the 6th week due to my job being strenuous, and waited till the 8th week to start working out. (Mainly push ups and sitting position on a boflex) and the other day, after my normal workout, I decided to sprint up and down my stairs continuously in fast spurts and rest and repeat. 2 days later, on the right side of my groin, it gave me quick shooting pains but and my right thigh down to my knee has become ach-y. The shooting pains went away, now I just get these dull pulses, but come night time the leg, and groin fall to an ache. My parents swear up and down it’s just muscle pull/strain or something to do with lower back. The last hernia I had only gave me shooting intense pains after I lifted stuff but nothing in my leg. What could this be?

Sorry, the pain on my right side first shot up through inner thigh to my groin

Maybe you overdid your exercise regime when the area was still tender after surgery and pulled muscles.   Speak to your doctor.
