Achilles rupture 6 months and feeling depressed

Hi,. It's coming up to 6 months since I ruptured the Achilles playing football. Didn't have surgery. Just a boot. The tendon has attached itself however I'm stuck in limbo. Im seeing no improvement whatsoever. I'm still in pain and it's reached a point where it's getting me down as I can't see myself returning to any activities. Can't even do single heel raises as people say they can do at 6 months .

Just wondered, is depression a common thing for this type of injury?

At 6 months what should I be expecting to do?

Any tips on how to get better quick?

Just at a total loss at the moment, doctors and physio have been useless.

Yes depression is very common. Most people are surprised at this till it happens to them.

I had a complete rupture jan. 2016

And i could not do a 1 legged

Heal raise at 6 mo. Just got to keep at it. Check all the videos on the net a lot of good info.om exercise etc.

Finding a good PT would help a lot

Can u try a diff. PT? or md?

Hi,

There's none around hence the frustration, so feeling like im losing a battle. Even if its a guideline to see what i should be expecting across 6, 12, 18 months so something i can aim towards would be ideal.
