Aching all over!!

Hi,

I've been slowly coming off venlafaxine for a few months and have had the usual withdrawals that people on this forum have mentioned consistently - headach, nausia, dizzyness etc... This has usually gone away a few days after i reduce my dose and then i enjoy a few days of feeling well before i drop my dose again. This time though i've been o the same dose for quite a while and am not feeling better and have some other symptoms - feel more sick than usual and everything hurts - like my joints, and the headach is much more painful than usual.

Has anyone had anything similar and if so...any suggestions for how to feel better? I'm taking omega 3 and b-complex vitamins but doesn't seem to be making any difference at the moment.

Thanks

Hi again Lucy

I had all the withdrawal symptoms you describe. I found that Benadryl helps when you drop a dose and also your doing the right thing with the B vits and omega 3 but they do take a little while to take effect. One more thing that is useful to know is that when you finally take your last dose try prozac for just a couple of days if your GP will let you have it. I read about this on some website and tryed it myself and I'm sure it helped me as not had any brain zaps or dizziness since

Oh yes there were times when I  thought I was getting the flu the withdrawls suck. So many of them . Brain zaps, headaches, nausea, diarrhea depression and the list goes on. Hang in there it will pass. It does take a while but it is well worth it. A other of people bad suggested omega 3 b complex and even benadryl. Good luck and always ask questions or message people on here if you need to talk. This site has helped me so much!! So many awesome people on here!!

Thanks guys I'm feeling much better now - it did pass...phew!!
