Aching limbs

Have been on MIT 45mg for 9 weeks.just wondered if anyone suffers from aching limbs.

Hi, I have been taking 15mg for two weeks and waiting for an increase to 30mg. Haven't had any problems with aching limbs just generally feel tired and lethargic. Can I ask what you are taking the mirt for?

I'm taking it for sleep and depression.am also on 300mg of trazadone

Do you think the mirt has helped with the depression and how long it took to notice any improvements?

I do think it helped with the depression.i would say it took about a fortnight till I started to feel better

I have only been on 45 for a we day do get aches and pains but my main problem is antics and siuicidal thoughts. D they go in time?

Just looked at sour reply to Liam and you have answered my question thanks

Hi Carolyn,

I am. I can't be 100% sure that mirt is causing the pain I have in my legs and hips, muscles and bones but as I had not had that pain before I started mirt I'm quite sure it's the side effect. I've reduced the dose now as I'm trying to wean off it and the pain also decreased (I've read someone had pains on 45mg but was much better on 30mg) My doc said it's fairly common and it's only me who needs to make the judgment if mirt does more good or bad to me. Good luck!

Hi Liam.  It's certainly true that everyone is different.  I had been on Venlafaxine for 10 years but theey stopped working.  First of all my GP suggested 15 mg Mirtazapine but I had to be weaned off the Ven first.  I went on to this Forum and nearly everyone gave it a fantastic writeup so I couldn't wait to change over.  Believe it or not but after only one day I felt fantastic except for the hunger!  After nearly 3 months they stopped working so doctor upped them to 30 mg.  There werre two very supportd who had had great results one with 30 the other 45.  We us to priate message each other.  They kept saying stick with it.  I stuck with 30 mg for 8 weeks the GP put me on 45 and that was hell so I am now trying Ven again but not having much luck.

One other thing.  I did read about people have aaching joints and I did start having neck and back ache but I put it down to the gym.  Now I am off the Mirt I realised the other week that the pains have gone so perhaps there is something in that

Sorry Liam I should have typed two very supportive ladies.

Hi  please reade my reply to Liam as I had the same experiece as you but didn't realise until now it was probably the Mirt.  The aches have certainly gone now.

That's good to know.i thought the aches and pains were all in my mind.somedays I feel like iv done a workout at the gym.

Hi, I'm on 45mg for a fortnight, I have zero energy, lethargy, aching limbs and lower back pain! I forgot dizziness and my appetite has tripled! On plus side I have stopped looking longingly at high buildings and train bridges!

Well at least there is a plus side, I will look forward to it!

I forgot swollen ankles and feet lol!

I go to an orchestra on Monday nights. I play the violin and last week I had terrible cramps all over which I put down to the positions I hold for the violin. To a lesser extent I have it today from last night. I don't know if it is exabercated by the Mirt.

Hi have decided I'm going to see my gp.i felt better when I was depressed..these physical symptoms are really getting me down.good to hear about the buildings and bridges a step in the right direction

Hi everybody how you all doing? I am a week into 45 ml mirt now and can't say I feel any better but I have done a bit more than sitting infront of TV. Managed to drive to my mums and take her out but don't get any enjoyment out of anything at the moment, waiting for the day I do!cry
