Aching

Hi all I am on day 5 of taking fluroxitine and I am so achy is this normal please help my anxiety is through the roof

What doze are you on Hun I was exactly the same I started 5 and half weeks ago and things are settling down a bit now don't feel as bad as I did I understand what your going through it's like a living hell maybe ask your doc for something to help with anxiety I had 2mg diazipan when I was bad it took the edge off a bit x

I'm on 20mg I'm starting cbt therapy next week to help with my anxiety I've just got no energy at all today just the thought of getting up is tiring

It sounds similar to what I experienced if I hadn't tried to other antidepressants before this one I would of come off them but new it was not good to keep messing around with meds I just started cbt but doing it at home as I'm struggling a bit with my anxiety which I'm working on if I was you I would maybe just ring gp for reassurance Hun x

Hi, I am on week 10 of fluoxetine. Started at 5 mg and am currently on 35 mg and will stop increasing next week when I get to 40 mg. This is my 2nd time “starting” fluoxetine (took it from 2011 until 2017) and I learned a few things since I have been through this before.  In the 1st few weeks, I took promethazine for nausea, hemangeol for heart palpitations, and clonazepam for anxiety. They made me very sleepy, but I had to pick my battles. Now at week 10 and 35 mg, I still take promethazine (nausea) every day (but only 1/4 of what I was taking at the beginning) and am very slowly weaning myself off of clonazepam.  I have more good days than bad, but I still don’t feel like I’m back to my old self. My mistake was that I never should’ve gone off of it in the first place. I thought that it stopped working and didn’t realize until couple months after I stopped taking it that it had been working.  It is SO hard to be patient and you’re probably wondering why you’re taking a drug that makes you feel worse than you did in the 1st place, but it does work. It took 12-13 weeks for me last time and I am feeling a lot better now than I was even a couple of weeks ago.

So nice to hear some lovely news it's brilliant your starting to feel better I'm on 5 and half weeks in on 20mg of fluxotine it's been hell to say the least but I can actually say now I'm slowly starting to feel myself I'm setting myself tasks daily outside the house and push outside my comfort zone as my anxiety has been through the roof but feel like I'm controlling it a bit better now so hopefully as time goes on things will get better and better x
