Acid reflux and asthma?

I have had acid reflux over 10 years. Sometimes I have a flareup. Now I'm experiencing some severe asthma symptoms. HELP

hi rosemary ive had acid reflux gping on 20 years i also have asthma. what are your asthma syptoms i you dont mind me asking xx

well it started off as a tightness in my chest. the er doctor said it was my sphincter not my gallbladder as I thought. she prescribed Ventolin abd Atrovent. my doctor said it may be a hiatal hernia. I am coughing quite a bit. No real wheezing though. My lung function test us this afternoon. No asthma prior to this.

yes i cough alot when i first get up on a morning. im not wheezing at the moment but i do suffer with asthma xx

thanks Karen. i just had my lung function test and will go to my doctor next week for results. I’ll let you know. thanks for responding. it sure helps to talk with someone who knows how i feel

Hi Karen, I got my results. Lung Function test normal. I do of course have acid reflux. My meds are changed and I have to go for a scope. I’ll let you know how everything turns out.
