Activated Air Devices

Has anybody had any experience of using Activated Oxygen Therapy and what was your opinion of it and is it worth the expensive involved?

People with COPD where there is a need oxygen is prescribed at the appropriate dose / literage.

Chat with your doctor about your needs.

I have never heard the term "activated oxygen therapy", however, I have been on oxygen from the day I was diagnosed 5 years ago.  I use it only during the night and sometimes if I take a nap in the afternoon.  It is a constant flow from a concentrator and I am at 3 ltrs.  If that is what you are talking about, I think it is the BEST thing my doctor has done for me....I feel GREAT 99% of the time.  I get breathless if I go above 11,000 feet but otherwise I don't really have any limitations.

I gave not heard the medical term 'Activated oxygen'. This decision to offer oxygen to you is entirely up to your Doctor or your respirologist specialist. I myself am on oxygen thereby, my tests being spirometry and the 6 minute walk test revealed I was border line. I only use it on excertion. I use it very little but I do use it when I am doing heavy housework.

This is not the Oxygen therapy you get from your doctor, it is from an activated air device and has to be bought. I have read some rave reviews about it but wondered if anybody on this site had used it or heard of it. Thanks for your reply.

Thanks for your reply but Activated Oxygen devises are different from that from the doctor and have to be bought. You can Google them.

Thanks but this is a different source.
