Active lifestyle

Hello everyone, I am still under the pain clinic at the moment and they asked me if I wanted to try the active lifestyle, so I said yes and I have an appointment tomorrow, just wanted to know if anyone else has tried it and would like to know if it helped, at bit nervous about it as I have done things like this before and hated it  a bit down about it, I have to go to my doctors surgery for the appointment  can anyone help. :blackcat:

Sorry cats eyes I've never heard of the active lifestyle course so can't help. Let's know about it once you have been. :?

Crikey cats eyes

'Active Lifestyle' ...... what the heck is that? Certainly a new one to me :?

Well, I think you should definitely 'go for it', and then you can report back and tell us all about it :ok: We are all intrigued :D

Don't worry about going to see your GP though .... cos even if it is your old one, you know that you can cope okay with him now after the last visit :ok: I think he has finally got the message

Take care and do let us know how you get on :D

Active Lifestyle? - I wish.................

My active 3 days had rendered me quite, er, inactive sad

Good luck with whatever it is CE. smile

Heavens Cats Eyes , it will be interesting to see what they talk about

My \"active lifestyle\" consists of walking (slowly) to my little local shop and walking (slowly) home again, then collapsing in an armchair

 'Active Lifestyle?'

Sounds way too exhausting to ME

But good luck with it Cats Eyes

Hello everyone, I went to my appointment yesterday and the lady I saw for the active lifestyle was really nice, you can pick what you want to do eg. swimming to music or the gym or lots of other things, was a really long list, so I went for the gym, there is a medical trainer who is there to help you, its for people like us who have had long illnesses and chronic pain, so I will be with people like us, I am nervous about going but I really want to try it, you can go when you like and if you miss a day because you don't feel well they don't mind, so I will let you know how I get on, I need to buy myself some gym gear as I haven't got a thing like that. Your gp can put you through for active lifstyle if anyone is interested, its so you have gentle exercise which can help M E. Oh I am so nervous

Good luck with that CE. It wouldn't suit a lot of people who are suffering with CFS, but if you can manage exercise it will be good for your feeling of wellbeing.

Me, I will stick to my walks with Max Dog. You can't beat the trees and the green and the birds and the outdoors.

Hubby is a gym freak but they bore me to tears, unless you get a nice male butt on the treadmill in front to feast your eyes on.

ooh ive never heard of it either :?

will be interesting to hear how you get on. im still trying to get to the hydro sessions offered by the ME group, but conscious of not doing too much. its so hard to know where to the draw the line isnt it? sad

Sounds good to ME :D I think it will really help you actually cats eyes and I will look forward to hearing how you have got on. Providing you take things very gently you should be fine .... the instructor will have been well trained in exercise management and ME so will not in any way push you too far.

Good luck :D
