Has anyone with MD tried acupuncture ?
I have and i think it helps with the stress of getting another episode but after about a month 2x a week along with a diuretic pill and low sodium diet I was able to go 3 weeks without an episode . I don't think acupuncture alone helps though 
I did try it but no it didn't seem to help. He gave me herbs with helped with other issues though. He is good at his trade, said he started learinf this when he was 8 years old. (He is chinese too)

My only experience with acupuncture was for back pain several years ago. No help, honestly. And those Chinese medicine pills given along with it, made me feel very strange!!!
I remember when I first joined this forum, I seem to remember a few people talking about acupuncture. You might do a search on that subject. There's also a discussion forum dedicated to alternative medicine, where they might be covering that subject.
