Hi all,
I was just told yesterday by my OB/GYN that I more than likely have an extremely rare form of cervical cancer that isn’t detected via pap smear. It’s called Adenoma malignum. I am only 29 and am very scared. I was wondering if anyone on here has had this and what they did for it. Thanks.

How did they tell you this did they do a biopsy?
I just got the biopsy done yesterday. I won’t know the results for 2 weeks. I have every last symptom though and am beyond terrified 
So how do they know its cancer if it hasnt been confirmed? Im in the same boat i fear i have cancer but my gp says my cervix looks normal but i dont understand why my period is coming twice a week
But hopefully its not cancer because your pretty young
She doesn’t know for sure yet and won’t know until then biopsy comes back, but she is suspecting it based on my symptoms and some other factors that are hard to explain on here. I’m trying to hope for the best because I know I’m young but honestly I would be the 1 in a billion to get this even at my age
I have prolonged and heavy periods, weird discharge, ridiculous urinary issues, extremely painful intercourse and an inflamed cervix with no infection. Soooo yeah. Not good 
Yeah my aunt was 41 when she got cervical cancer but they caught it in time

I have been having spotting between periods but this been happening for 3 years now. No explanation my hormone and testosterone are normal. I am 20 so i had to pay private for a pap which came out normal i had a ct scan and transvaginal us 3 times and nothing was found. Not even fibroids. I went to get a transvaginal us today and it was terrible my anxiety is in the roof i hope is all good with you. I looked it up it says usually older women get that type of cancer so i hope not.
Since your young it even surprises me she thinks its cancer im glad she did a biopsy at least theyre taking you serious it took 3 months for an obgyn to actually listen to me
I’m sure you’ll be fine. Have you considered endometriosis?
And I had my fair share of ob/gyns not take me serious. She’s doing the biopsy because I really do have EVERY single symptom. Even if it ends up not being cancer, we need to figure out why my cervix is so inflamed without an infection. I’ve had excruciating pain down there for a really long time and I’ve already had every single test other than this so I would kinda like to figure it out!
Hi there. From what I've been reading on some of the studies of this particular kind of CC, it is no worse of a prognosis if not slightly better than adenocarcinoma or squamous cell of the cervix it's just that the cervix can show no abnormalities on colpo or pap investigations hence delaying appropriate treatment. The cervix can present with what appears to be benign Nabothian cysts which are also a benign finding. The most prominent clinical signs or symptoms of this type of CC are profuse vaginal discharge of either a watery or mucoid nature and maybe abnormal bleeding may be present. The discharge is of a degree that a panty liner or pad is necessary in these cases and can send a woman to the ER in some cases for investigation. A lot of your symptoms also suggest things like severe cervicitis too pelvic inflammatory disease. I have nothing else to offer other than at the very least you seem to have caught it early if it is indeed AM and the prognosis is very good and seldom is adjuvant therapies needed. I would, however and this is just me, get a second opinion if you can with a gyn oncologist since there are so many benign causes of your symptoms as well. Good luck to you!
Sorry, I apologize on previous post. I meant to say that adjuvant therapies are seldom needed after initial surgical treatments, whatever kind that may involve, when AM caught at an early stage. Seems that is better than other forms of CC in that regard. All cases are different, of course, depending on stage of disease. Again, good luck to you and please keep us updated.
No pelvic inflammatory disease and I did in fact have “multiple nabothian cysts” show up on my pelvic MRI. I also have the discharge that requires a panty liner. My cervix is severely inflamed and no one has ever been able to tell me why (no infections). Everyone just basically gave up on me. All the symptoms are there. I just hope that the biopsy I had done finds something..
Did they tell you on the report about the cyst? My ct scan i got showed cyst but not on my cervix but on my ovaries and fluid in the cul de sac you had anything similiar in your report? Im still waiting for transvaginal us report
The cyst I had removed was called an inclusion cyst.
Got my biopsy report back today and there were no cancer cells. Just severe inflammation. So my gynecologist thinks it’s “cystic cervicitis”. Since I have several cysts on my cervix, it’s causing chronic inflammation. Unfortunately, since there are so many cysts, they would have to remove a good chunk of my cervix in order to ensure all of the cysts are out. So she’s recommending that I have my cervix removed completely
Oh no, no, no, no, no! Since this is the same "doctor" that prematurely told you that you probably have cancer, I suggest you get a second opinion! Removing the cervix for cysts and cervicitis seems extreme to me! I was a bit concerned by this doctor telling you this in the first place and upsetting you but with chronic cervicitis other treatments are available. I've never heard of "cystic" cervicitis but many things can irritate the cervix to cause this. Please, get a second opinion on this.
I’m sorry if this comes across as rude, but if you don’t know what my condition is then how can you know that there is a magical cure that multiple different doctors have missed? I have been at this for YEARS, completely suffering the entire time, and this is the only doctor who has truly wanted to see me out of pain. Every other doctor I have seen has treated me as though I’m being over dramatic when it comes to what I’m having to deal with and act like birth control is gonna solve all of my problems. I have all 7 doctors that are in the same practice working on my case out of the kindness of their hearts, and no one has been able to get the inflammation down. It may be extreme, but my symptoms are extreme (as in they are mocking late stage uterine cancer) and no one should have to suffer like this. My pelvic floor is completely destroyed due to all of the inflammation, and I can’t even THINK about doing physical therapy until the source of the problem is removed. I can continue getting “second opinions” for the rest of my days like I already have been, or I can address the problem and maybe start to get my life back.
I apologize if I offended you in some way and yes I don't know your condition or how long you've been dealing with it as your initial post came off sounding as if this was something you just found out. Perhaps if you had mentioned that your condition had been ongoing for so many years and that this final doc was your last resort, it may have seemed less dramatic that the doctor would suggest to you cancer before a biopsy or such a drastic move as removing your entire cervix. But even then it seems that ablation or cryotherapy might be tried first. If you haven't had any children yet, without a cervix, you may not be able to. I'm sure you have been informed of the side affects to the fullest. I am always on high alert when doctors just want to "cut" something out of women. So many women go through unnecessary surgical procedures these days for some things that don't require such drastic measures. I seemed to have agitated you for some reason which was not my intent. I was on your side and I wish you the best in your quest for relief.
