I've just been prescribed Evorel sequi. I am 53 and have not had a period for about 12-18 months.
Can anybody advise me as to whether or not these patches will result in my periods starting again? If so would they be like a regular period or just spotting?
Also how long would it take for me to benefit from the patches. My main reason for seeking HRT was to try and help with trouble sleeping, mood swings and feeling emotional.
Any advice or comments on Evorel sequi would be welcome.

I would of thought you should of been given evorel conti if you havnt had a bleed for so long. I to am 52 and havnt bleed for about 2 years. I am on the one patch evorel combined 1 patch twice a week. I did bleed while my body got use to the hormones but 6 months down the line that has now stopped and feel so much better. I believe the evorel sequi is 2 different patches and are for those that still have periods and are perimenipausal.

Hi there, thanks, you have sort of confirmed what I was thinking. The GP I saw was lovely but didn't seem to have a great knowledge of the treatments available. I think I will return to another GP for a second opinion.
