Afternoon all,
Brief overview of symptoms: burning tip/opening of penis after urination, painful after ejaculation for a couple of days, clear discharge on and off (most recently urine coloured gel discharge) and testicular pains
My situation has been going on for 2 and half years. My partner has also been discharging. All Urology, sexual health and doctors tests have come back negative for both of us. I have had scans which have been clear (MRI coming up). I have paid £150 for private tests (Mycoplasma and ureaplasma) also clear.
When this all started my partner was diagnosed with very bad bacterial Vaginosis. Her recent visit to gynocologist concluded that he professor feels her problems are what have passed to me. He has done numerous research papers on the connection between men and women. Although many say it cannot be passed, he is convinced that it can.
Which brings me to my question: I have just paid another £100 for a Gardnerella test (BV?) Which I have done yet. Should I do this test or get a refund and try an alternative method of finding out what this is? I wanted to try DNA Sequencing but cannot find anyone in the UK that provides this service. Does anyone else have any suggestions of how I can find out what is effecting my partner and I? We are really desperate and the Urologists just tell me that they are stumped and don't know what to do for me
