Advice on symptoms after haemorrhoidectomy

Hi, I am looking for some advice as I keep getting fobbed off when i call the hospital! Basically, I had (still have!) prolapsing haemorrhoids and had the Hal-Rar peocedure along with mucopexy (stitching back into place of anal cushions) about a year ago. So painful but got through it in one piece. However, it still left me with three large grade V haemorrhoids and some prolapse after going to the toilet and upon standing for any length of time. Not a great success. So, my surgeon agreed to repeat procedure which i had four days ago. On my discharge sheet it said I'd had a single haemorrhoidectomy which confused me as i had additional ones so why only remove one?! I was discharged back home that day but what i found strange was i still had a large lump protruding out of my bottom which just looked like it did before. I had no pain WHATSOEVER after surgery and didn't take any pain relief as i didn't need it. I called the hospital twice and they said this was just swelling. i explained that it looked like it did pre-op and the nurse said to give it a few days. So,, yesterday, 2 days after surgery i had my first bowel movement and OMG! i almost fainted! (no joke, i literally did). I have been taking stool softeners, drinking plenty of water, eating only small amount of soup, and I also haven't been taking any codeine so i am guessing the fact that my stool wasn't soft was the after effects of the anaesthetic? who knows? I've been the toilet again today and quite a bit of blood in toilet and pain again but it passed after about 30-45 mins to where it's manageable and now just feels uncomfortable. My question here, if anyone can help me is, has anyone else had swelling that is 'on the outside' and visible and almost looks like they still have piles? does it subside when the swelling reduces and will i be able to push this lump back inside when the internal swelling reduces? Grateful of any advice.
