is Fluoxetine a antidepressant that is very activating. I have been 20mgs of it for six weeks today. The only side effects I have are no appetite and horrible anxiety. I need to take .25 Klonopin every morning could use more but I am afraid of addiction. I have had 3 periods this week of feeling near normal. The anxiety is worse now then 3 weeks ago. Should I give it another 4 weeks or try another antidepressant

I would stick with it for a bit longer, my dose was put up to 40mg after about 5-6 weeks, and my dr told me to give it at least 12 weeks to get the full benefit. Hope you start to feel better soon.
How long have you been on it Jackie? When did you start feeling better? Did you have a lot of anxiety before it kicked in. Thanks for the encouragement. Why did the doctor raise your dose? The doctor wants to keep me at 20 for a few more weeks. Some people recover so quickly on this drug.
