I see a psychologist and a psychiatrist now for over 3 traes and have been on Epitec 100mg and ativan 1mg. I feel Like í forget things That I have done or said Like 2 week ago. I'm scared That Í might have dementia or a brain tumor. The palpatations freaks me out as well but mostly forgetting stuff is my main issues. I have good days of not not being Just depressed and other days are good. I'm scheduled for my hipnosis this week to stop smoking and Í think That Also makes my worry, if I going to freaking out and what other symptoms will come out once I stop.

Hi Mink, how old are you? I very much doubt that you suffering with dementia or a brain tumour. I’ve been suffering with severe anxiety for the last couple of weeks and I really can’t remember what I’ve done in the last few days and I really can’t remember long term stuff either right now! Anxiety can become all consuming and my brain finds it hard to process at these times. It’s good that you are seeking treatment and trying to give up smoking. All the best.

Talk to your doctors about all of your questions and concerns with the medications. You made need different dosages or you may need to try something else. Discuss ALL your symptoms with them, if you have a problem remembering when you get in front of them, try keeping a journal and taking it with you when you see them. Stopping smoking is going to be amazing for you, I smoked most of my life and have been smoke free for almost 2 years now. You can do it!!! Other than being a little cranky in the beginning you shouldn't have any issues with quitting, you should actually feel better and relatively quickly too!!! Good Luck!!!

If you are young, you can cross dementia off your list. Severe anxiety and stress can definitely cause short term memory loss. It’s not permanent.

When you have the anxiety under control and are more relaxed you will find that your memory improves. Sometimes people who go through a Traumatic experience can also have this short term memory loss issue. It’s just what anxiety and depression do sometimes.

Palpitations are also very common with stress and anxiety and they do not hurt you. It is just adrenaline that is released during anxiety that causes the palpitations. It wears off eventually.

Talk to your doctor about your symptoms and the medication you are taking. Sometimes medications can have these side effects. I think once everything calms down you will be fine.

Work on  relaxing your mind.

Listen to some mindfulness meditation’s for anxiety on YouTube. Do some long slow deep breathing.

Just take a step back because the more anxious you are the more you’re going to notice the symptoms. Feel better 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸

Thanks everybody for thé advise. My hipnosis to stop smoking is today and i feel à bit anxious That my anxiety might go through thé roof. I can only hope for thé Best and Will keep you guys informed.
