Yes, I had to take a leave from work for anxiety.
Since anxiety starts in the brain, the key is to calm down the brain.
what worked for me was.......
anything that was relaxing such as:
audio meditations on anxiety found on you tube. Many on there! These really helped me and still do!!
yoga
any exercise
deep slow breathing
smile, laugh!
dont overreact to anxiety, will create more!
be good to yourself!
Counseling really helped me too!!
Hi Jode,
You will find once you are at work you will feel a massive sense of relief! I think you will feel so much better being back into a routine.
It's helped me so much! Aim for each day at the end of your shift to go home and do something nice for yourself.. focus on a positive routine! 👍🏻👍🏻
You can do this
Think of it like this.. 'tomorrow is your day of positive transformation!' 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for your replies everyone I'm already doing counselling and it is working I've got an appointment on Tuesday but the therapist says she thinks I won't need any more I've only had 3 and it worries me that it's not enough in a way I'm exited to go back to work I've stayed in touch and popped in a few times whilst being off and we are all good friends as well as working together. Hopefully I'll be fine once I'm there 🤞🏻
If you feel you need more counselling sessions have them, only YOU know what you want and need.
Good luck for tomorrow, you will be just fine!
I think even people without anxiety issues that have had a long time off work feel a bit worried about going back.
So it's abnormal feeling.
I'm sure your gonna feel fine once your there!
Good luck going back to work. Sounds like you have a positive outlook even though your bound to be hesitant. Good that you had couciling, great if you could have more. I hope all these replies have reasured you you'll be ok. We've all been through it. Great your asking advice here as well as. Counciling, everything helps. After yrs I cope much better, best thing I did was ask for help. You want to beat this. Good girl❤️
I mean it's a normal feeling
Hi Jode,
I am currently working through my anxiety and now i am pregnant so my hormones are all over the place. I have had this since i was 17 and im now 25 and suffer with it every day (GAD) you must go to work and try to pre occupy your brain and you will feel a sense of self worth and accomplishment. You can do it. Keep lots of water with you and get regualr fresh air. Sit near a window if you can and take regualr deep breaths.
I know this sounds weird but try airwaves chewing gum the cool mint burst helps me to feel calm and stops my stomach churning when im about to panic. You are not in this alone.
Good Luck
