For the last 3 weeks i have been having abdominal pains and recently experienced pressure in my rectum or tailbone not sure which one. When i have a bowel movement there is clear mucus. I went to the hospital was told i have diverticulitis. I have lost 15 pounds in 18 days because im afraid to eat anything...i go to the gi doc on the 26th. I always feel afraid and depressed of tbe outcome. I also have joint pain in my fingers and feet
Julia that's a lot of weight loss I also get rectal or anal pain but it could be many things I would definitely ask for a colonoscopy I wish you the best please keep us posted
I started back eating yesterday...but im still going to the doctor on the 26th..im still afraid and nervous. Thank you for the wishes and i will keep you guys updated

Hi, Julia! 😊 I went through the same exact thing with the rapid weight loss and being afraid of eating (both of those things are still ongoing for me, too) How'd your appointment go? I hope it went wonderfully for you! *hugs* When I actually started getting seen for this in the emergency room (Nov. 28th), I found out that I've have stage 3 colorectal cancer so now, I've been going through chemotherapy since Dec. 26th (every 2 weeks with an additional 48hr chemo pack after each session) Please let us know how you're doing. Im im praying for you...i had an emergency colonoscopy and endoscopy done on march 1st due to rectal bleeding...the doctor said it went well only one polyp removed..i have acute diverticulitis with scar tissue built up in my colon. I also have internal hemorrhoids and ibs. I am currently waiting on the biospy to come back but i am praying all is well. I also think my anxiety amd fears played into my symptoms. I will continue to pray for you and hope you get back to your self soon

How are you and how did you make out in colonoscopy? I feel for you I am going through the same type of thing and waiting to see a gastroentologist I am SO scared it is consuming my thoughts everyday. Appreciate your reply
