I am a little over a month post op ORIF surgery for bimalleour fracture. I have had no pain since my surgery and no swelling. I am in a hard cast. Today I tried to vaccum my screened in porch area while on my knee walker. I had to pull and tug some of the porch furniture to get it out of the way. I started noticing some pain along the outside aspect of my lower leg. After awhile it got more noticeable so I stopped and out my feet up. No swelling but the discomfort is there when I move my leg. I'm worried that I've caused some damage. Has anyone else fallen or stressed the ankle and shifted or damaged something. I was hoping to get my cast off on Minday .
Being that you were in a cast it should keep your leg protected but if the pain gets to severe I would have it checked out. I feel for you, I also fell a couple times from my scooter trying to do too much. Tired of sitting around lol The second time I came straight down on my foot with the cast on. I also had some pain and was scared I had done something to screw it up. I took some Advil and got my leg elevated and later the pain eased. Luckily I had t done anything wrong to it. I chatted with the doctor at my next appointment about it and he assured me I was fine. But told not to do so much. Lol
I have fell 3 times but they took X-rays and everything looked good.. I was so scared I damaged something because I'm still in a soft cast because I have a lot of swelling..
I think you just over did it!
