Hey all.
I need a bit of advise.... i have just been put on citalopram 10mg dosage.. i havent taken any yet, but i am afraid to start. I live with two people who i love to bits, but according to my GP one of the side affects is agitation, and she couldnt tell how bad this side affect is (if it does affect me) I really dont want to upset my housemates so i am a bit hesitate about take this medication. Can anyone give me advise or there experence of this medication and what the side affects they went through with it?????

I've been on 10mg for 7 month now, i'm taking them for anxiety and panic attacks.
The side effects i went through were, dry mouth, feeling agitated, feeling like my heart was beating faster.
I'm sorry if this is scaring you.
I too was worried about side effects because i have 2 small children and a job.
My dr told me ths is normal, after a couple of weeks the side effects began to fade.
The tablets really have made a huge difference to my life, i could leave the house again without feeling sick and enjoy life again.
Hope this helps, if you decide to take the tablets please stick with it, it's worth it.

Hi,
everyone reacts differently to this medication, so theres no guarantee how it will affect you, but i had very few side effects. Slight tiredness and slight loss of appetite which both resolved after about 10 days - i was originally on 20mg now 40mg.
Feeling much better now and much nicer to be around. There is light at the end of the tunnel, and i hope these pills work for you.

Hi... Just want to say thanks for your adivse, i will start taking them and see what happeneds....It does help to know that what the affects re and that someone has gone through it...Hopfully i wont have the side affects.
