Hi all, I'm on cit 10mg and have just been to the doctors with symptoms of reflux, lump in throat, shortness of breath and a crushing pain in my sternum. Have been put on omeprazole, just wondering if anyone else is suffering reflux and having similar symptoms, I don't know if it's my anxiety playing up but surely breathlessness is not a symptom of reflux?!? Plz help
Hi I've been put on pantoprazole for reflux. I seem to get more of a right feeling in my upper stomach below my ribs. I wondered if it was a side effect of the cit. How long have you been on it for? X
Hi Tasha since how long you are on Cit 10mg...?
I am on 10mg nearly 5 weeks now and still i feel like lighthead everyday numbness on the face but i will get better you need to give some time but it is getting better now i have to say sametimes it takes 6 to 8 weeks.
Stay Strong.
Roughly around 6 weeks for the cit, all my side effects from that have stopped hope your doing well
I have been told cit can make it happen but I am sure that this is the cause of all my anxiety! I wasn't depressed etc then woke up one day feeling like I couldn't breathe, I've been on cit around 6 weeks, I get breathless, lump in throat etc not nice just want to feel normal again! Hope ur well x
Thanks Tasha
so maybe the thing you are experiencing is one of the side effect i do have some discomfort in chest sometimes and my Dr told me it is side effect.
Our brain is playing games with us we need to stay strong and beat that beast and i'm we can do this.
I know how you feel. I think the lump in throat is anxiety. I have been on 20mg for 10 weeks and have felt much calmer that I used to no crying or panicking but still don't feel 100%. I've been told it can take 3 months plus x
Hi,
I'm also on 10mg of citalopram but I haven't had any issues with reflux, shortness of breath, pain etc. I do feel sick quite often though so don't know if that is related to taking the drug. My doctor prescribed cyclizine to help with the sickness feeling and that seems to help.
Hope you feel better soon.
