Agonizing stomach aches.

So, lately, I have been having these terrible stomach aches that I'm pretty sure are caused by anxiety, and I don't know how to relieve them.

Any ideas? I am currently anxious about a disease and I don't know how to control it.

I found that charcoal tablets were a great help to my tummy

Discuss your problem with your GP to confirm what your problem is

You do not mention your health concerns although you have set your thread in  Anxiety. You need to put your mind at rest and then you can approach a diagnosis of Anxiety. after your GP confirms your health problem

If it feels like acid you can try Pepcid or if it’s nausea than try relaxation and drink water best thing to treat these is to reduce anxiety.

Best to see your dr to confirm the diagnosis then take it from there. Try not to worry, Easy to say but hard to do. Some things have to be discussed with a dr who can assess you . Take care

Ok, update on the situation.

My fear is rabies.

I never made any direct contact with an animal and my country is rabies free. But the symptoms just got worse.

I started feeling very flu like. Weak and fatigued and joint pain.

Without direct contact with an animal and by that I mean contact with their saliva, you can't catch rabies. So rest assured it's not that.

However I would see your Dr just to check if you've picked up a viral infection (very common). It could just be run of the mill flu or cold but always best to check.

As for easing stomach isues, I found peppermint tea or oil to help, fibre gel to help with bowel movements (if you're backed up, that can cause stomach pain) and charcoal tablets as Sarah suggested are good for absorbing any excess wind that may be causing pain.

Francisco - I have something similar.  When I have anxiety, I experience waves of painful tight stomach knots.  Does this describe what your experiencing?

Do you fear rabies too!!!

maybe go to the pharmacy and buy melissa or herbal calming tablets?
