Air hunger and shortness of breath

Hello there, hope you're all doing good! So about a month ago i started feeling like i'm not getting enough air and need to take a deep breathe every like 3-5 minutes all day long to get that satisfying feeling of having enough air. I'm also experiencing a lot of fatigue and lightheadedness and feeling like i'm gonna pass out sometimes. Now i don't clearly know the reason behind this but the sure thing i know is that smoking has always been my enemy, whenever i smoke i feel so tired and nauseous. I didn't smoke for e very long while and i felt normal, unless i couldn't help it and started smoking again 2 months ago an suddenly these symptoms developed. I have stopped smoking now for about a month since i started to feel these symptoms, but they aren't improving, especially the fatigue. I wasn't a heavy smoker and i smoked like 2-3 cigarettes per day, and some days no smoking. And just to note this, symptoms are a lot worse when lying down or resting, and also i have vitamin D deficiency and calcium toxicity (a little bit over the range) but i don't think it has to do something with all this as i have been taking the vitamin d medicine for a while now. Sorry for that long speech and thank you!
