31 year old male. i have CONSTANT restllessness. i get hand twitches, facial twitches, furrowing my eyebrows, laboured breathing, lightheaded, nasal congestion all day long. and its MUCH worse when im not moving i constantly feel like i have to move. i took 225 mg of effexor for 2 years and i was thinking that was the issue so no i switched directly to 10 MG of excitolapram which its my 4th day and its not helping. it seems like antidepressants are making whatever nerve issue i have worse! they worked well for many years but i think im devleoping some kind of neurlogical disorder.
could this possibly be habitual?? does it get better if you are distracted?
HI Dave, I was on bromazapam for over 18 months, came off them and went on 5mg of escitalopram and felt absolutely awful for about six weeks then things started to get a lot better, did 8 weeks on them then upped to 10mg, now on week six i am feeling pretty much normal, still get the odd blip but been really well for the last 2 weeks, best i’ve felt for 2years, 4 days is not a long time stick with it and i’m sure you’ll feel better soon, give it at least 8 weeks.
its just weord because ive been getting these symptoms for A long time now. i was on effexor and maybe it just stopped working? when im doing something these twitches and anxiety are more controlled its just really awful because at home when sitting down trying to watch a movie or relax i cant and the anxiety and lightheadedness get way worse. im hoping it just needs more gime with excitolapram and ill be good. the only thing thats really helping out is taking ativan to relieve the anxiety and twitchiness when im not moving. thats why i think i may have akathisia
