Thanks Melbi

Just what I wanted to hear

I really knew this but have been determinedly trying to ignore the fact that the reason I have not lost as much weight as I would like is totally down to wine!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for putting this info back in my face - I think

LOL Lauper

Trust me hun I too try and hide myself away from this fact. Although I haven't ever really had a weight problem, I can put weight on (clothes become too tight) I never ever weigh myself!

When clothes become too tight I know the only way to get back to 'a comfy fit' is to stop the alcohol intake.

In fact, if I don't drink alcohol for a month I can be guaranteed to lose quite a lot of weight

I'm glad I jolted you back to reality (I think lol)

Hi Laups,

I too was a bit concerned about my drinking and weight loss and sent off for a NHS booklet all about alcohol. In it, it says 'if you added three or four gin & tonics a day to your usual diet, you would put on 4lbs over four weeks' :!:

Gives ya something to think about......

Li'l jan :bubbly:

Thanks for the info - it has jolted me out of a false sense of security where I thought I could drink wine and weight would still come off. I have lost weight but without the wine it would have been more. Will focus now!!

I very rarely touch any alcohol - but I don't loose weight either!!

I find Slimline tonic water gives me wind and that makes me feel thinner....!
