Alcohol and sertraline?

I have been on sertraline for anxiety for 2 months now. Unfortunately had a miscarriage last week and been drinking a little, started feeling really groggy in the morning... Is this the combination do you think? X

Hi Suzie,

Am so sorry to hear of your loss, please don't bear that alone. Drinking alcohol will definitely increase the side effects of Sertraline, probably not a good idea.....

Thank you, not great timing with the anxiety!

Ok thank you Hun xx

You're welcome. We are all in this together. Wish you all the best. : )

Possibly yes. Aw im sorry abt ur baby must make this whole thing alot harder. How did u find sert? Maybe cut out the drinking ( totally understandable tho) look after your self and if grogginess doesnt improve c ur gp?

Hi

I' on 50 mg and I noticed a big difference when I drank even one drink. Never had that on any other antidepressant, and I've been on a few. Didn't really enjoy the drink and was dizzy the next day.

I'm not sure I'm staying on the Zoloft. I have a lot of ear static I don't remember having before. I got through the side affects, but don't think it's helping my depression. Going to see my doctor in two days. See if I should get off. Afraid of the withdrawal. Cymbalta was horrible to get off. Took months. Medical staff says two weeks should do it, but I found articles online that said weeks-to months- to years, depends on the person. I don't know what to think. There's so many reactions to Zoloft on this site
