Hi hippies and hippies to be!

Hi Linzi,

I had very low blood pressure as well, but after a few days it went back to normal.

From now on you will feel better...

Big hugs

Ella

Well done welcome to the other side Love Gill xx

Great news Linzi

Isn't it a fantastic feeling?

Here's to your new life!

Warm wishes Linda xx💞💞

I had a Catheter, I had 2L of Pee in my bladder to come out and it was very painful, and the tube was so big it left me gasping for a week when they took it out, bled for a good few days too, but what a nice way to stay in bed in hospital once you can settle down to a good read and listen to the Ipod, but... Never again unless I really really have to....

Hope its a big relief to you in every way. all the  very best in the weeks ahead

So glad it's all over hun, now it's onwards and upwards good luck fingers crossed you will be home soon.

yehaaaa good for you 😄😄

dear linzi ... so good to hear from you and such positive comments  ...now you will be part of us post-ops and encourage hippies-to-be to get the surgery ....

my blood pressure was low too and I even sort of blacked out when PT was walking with me .. blood is lost during surgery ...

I hope you will get some sleep tonight - tomorrow is another day ...

oh boy, you must be so relieved -

warm hug and good night

Hurrah - welcome to the club.  You will have some difficult times over the next couple of weeks but stay positive, push yourself when you feel up to it but stay positive and you will be fine.

So pleased for you - take it steady for the first few days and do the exercises - they really do help.

They did your surgery in an hour and a half?

WOW! Mine was over 3 hours Inwant to say 4 hours but I was at a teaching hospital. I am always wondering why the people from the UK report swelling and bruising, I never had either one. my leg size after my surgery was the exact same size as before. The French doctors also put in a surgical drain and I know in the UK they don't. All I know is that me & 2 other ppl who had their THR in France didn't have any swelling or bruising, so I wonder if there is some technique the UK doctors do that causes that swelling & bruising. But an hour and a half? That seems awful fast to me. My surgeon had 3 THR's in one day and it was a full long day for him. An hour and a half is amazing to me.
