All Shook Up - Advice Please

I'm into my fifth week of Citalopram - four weeks on 20mg, now on 40mg.

From the outset, I have really only experienced two main side effects - the dreaded difficulty in sleeping and shaking or severe trembling in my hands and jaw.

This shaking is weird. It never really goes away altogether but seems to come and go in intensity and I usually find that the more I concentrate on something the worse it gets. This apart from first thing in the morning when I first awake, when it is extremely violent for a few seconds.

After five weeks of shaking with no noticeable improvement, can I ask if there is anyone who is also experiencing this or has experienced it - and whether it will/does eventually wear off?

Hi, I am also on 40mg and have to say I've never experienced shaking like that. Deffinately tell your doctor.

i am also on 40mg and have never experienced this side effect i would also advise u see yout doctor good luck

hi, I think it is very important that you tell your Doctor- these tablets may not suit you, i think it is one of the more rare side effects. I have not experienced like that. I think your Doctor should recommend some else.
