I'll try to keep this short. I don't know exactly what triggered it, but about 3-4 months ago I got anxiety. I'm a 19 year old male, and anxiety does run in my family, my dad and grandparents take anxiety medication. I was in flordia and got up early to go to disneyland, and out of no where I got really spinny and I almost fainted, an ambulance showed up and said that nothing was really wrong. I came back home and a month later I had another bad panic attack, so I went to the ER this time.
They did EKG, Chest X-ray, and a lot of bloodwork, but they assured me that everything was fine, blood pressure was normal, iron levels were good, no blood clots, etc.
So after this panic attack my doctor prescribed me Wellbutrin 150mg for my anxiety, and as a lot of people know, this medicine is a hit or miss. It either can help or drastically make it worse and for me It made it worse. After 30 days of taking it I felt like I couldn't breathe at 1am so I went to my parents, slept for two hours then woke up with terrible chest pain and wheezing and it felt like I was having a heart attack or PE.
So I had my dad take me to the ER. They did another EKG, Chest X-ray, and more bloodwork. Again, nothing showed up. The doctor said this is very common in people who have severe anxiety.
That was today, the day i'm posting this.
My doctor now has me leaning off Wellbutrin and has be starting to take Escitalopram 10mg (which is actually meant to help anxiety). A lot of good reviews about this drug but i'm obviously nervous since the side effects of wellbutrin sucked, and these will most likely suck as well.
Moral of the story, does anyone else feel like they're having chest pain 24/7? I constantly think something is wrong with me and get freaked out. I am stressing out a little because my job that once paid amazing took a huge dump on me, my grandpa passed, and my relationship with my girlfriend is going down hill and i'm moving out. So maybe it's just the amount of stress? I don't know, I just want some of your thoughts! It would help me out a lot!
Thank you!
