Hi folks was wondering if anyone could offer some advice?
Am now on week 4 of my 20 mg dose after being on 10mg as a starter. Some times I feel as if things are beginning to feel better, then a day or two later it feels like I am back to square one again!! Has anyone else experienced this yo-yo ing effect and does it even out where you feel better enough to feel calmer?
I just feel so discombobulated and have no where to turn.
Any advice would be gratefully received
Hi Charlotte,
you are still early days yet please check out 'Anyone NOT had any side effects on Citalopram? forum as there are so many folk at different stages of taking CIT you should be able to be reassured, ha ha discombobulated is a great word, and yes we have nearly all experienced this at some stage but it does go away, I think you feel a difference from about 6 weeks onwards, do persevere it will work and u will be so glad you did,
Take care and stay strong

Hi guys.
About to increase to 20mg tomorrow after 4 weeks on 10mg. So anxious tonight I am dreading taking the double dose tomorrow. Is the transition to 20mg bad? Will I have the horrendous side effects. Granted I'm not as anxious through the day. I'm very spaced out and my mood is flat. Hoping the increase will get me back to where I was.
Comments and shares appreciated. X
Hi Laura,
I had no side effects when I upped from 10mg to 20mg as CIT is already in your body, so dont worry or you will make urself think its worse, thats waht the anxiety does to us, seriously I didnt even notice any side effects and now I am grand and back to normal.
Please check in on 'Anyone NOT had any side effects on Citalopram? as so many more of us there,

Thanks Anne. I have taken two 10mg tablets this morning and my anxiety is through the roof. Can't bear many more days like this. Zero sleep and panic attacks as soon as I do go to sleep. Is this normal after 4 weeks on 10? I am so scared
