Am I Depressed?

I have been on meds for just over a year now, tsh now down to 0.62 was 69 when diagnosed have made life style changes as in reduced working hours started on 150mg then put down to 100mg now back up to 125mg I do feel better but still get very tired and anxious about the silliest of things almost paraniod have no self confidence or sex drive (just as well I'm single) have zero interest in a social life and will make any excuse to avoid going out apart from going to work, the mother of ones of my sons friends is hypo and her gp perscribes antidepressants along side her meds just wondered if anyone has any thoughts on this due to see GP again next week and thinking of asking if I may have a touch of depression.

Hi, Aa you know your thyroid controls everything in your body so, it may be your thyroid making you feel this way.Tyroid can mimic a lot if illnesses but, do go & see your gp.I was put on antidepressants but, endo took me off as he said it was down to my thyroid. Elaine.

You need to know what your T4 and T3 results are, if they were indeed tested. TSH is ok but T4 needs to be at the top of the range and T3 middle to top.

If you can stay away from anti ds then all the better as some don't mix well with Levo.

150mcg was way to high a dose to start on, should have been 25- 50 with slow increase every 6 weeks until reaching the right level for you.

Once you are on the right dose you should feel better and have no need for anti ds as the symptoms you have could well be thyroid related.

i take citapram and diazapam with lethyoxine is that ok
