Hi i had a relay bad dizzy spell Thursday evening I was fine up until this, since I have been feeling flu like symptoms light headed and very weak, I am at the end of my tether, I have no bloating this time as that's usually a sign, does anyone else get this with ibs?
I rarely have the dizziness but I do get attacks which often come out of the blue. I can be feeling fine then I get sinius like symptoms often accompanied by stomach cramps then Like you I get 'flu like symptoms all my joints ache. I feel so tired and weak. There have been times when these have lasted for a couple of days or more. I have just had to go with the flow and do nothing.
I have post infectious ibs and get the exact same symptoms but nobody has said why. My sinuses feel bunged up, i get achy and also tired/weak but this does not happen all the time. Dr doesn't really help much but i am hoping to improve. I noticed that muscle are affected more when i flare such as tension in the head, which i think causes strange sinus symptoms and light head feeling. I have read it all stems from overactive nerves in the gut which causes bit of a disfunction elsewhere.
It is strange as I suffer from sinus and have done for years. Yet when I get one of these 'attacks' where I am tired, weak and aching joints nothing that I do for a 'normal' sinus attack work! I was told years ago to 'steam' up to five times a day even if it was with plain boiled water. This has no effect whatever even when my face feels as if it is going to burst. Like you I am begining it is gut/digestive related but you don't get any answers.
