Hi all.
I can't believe how well I am doing now. I've had a couple of bad days but I have suddenly just got a lot better. I even managed to try and have a little dance at a party yesterday. I am only 3 weeks post op and I am amazed at how good things are going. I just hope I haven't spoke to soon 😀😀😀. Hope all you hippies are doing well also. Xx
Brilliant stuff Jules.....but ..phew...dancing. If The Beatles 'Twist and Shout ' is played don't! Just don't !
Hey Julie. Sounds great!! You'll likely have a "setback", but it too will pass, and then you'll have another great day and then a setback.... I'm 3 weeks as well and was amazed when I could "all of a sudden" take some steps without the cane and no limping. Just last weekend I was having the worst pain and days later "walking". Stay happy. I'm sure the setbacks will eventually become fewer and fewer. 😛💃🏽😛💃🏽😛
May God continue to heal and give you good days!!! So happy for you!!
Glad you're doing well Julie! Just be careful of how you move that new hip. I was back at work by 2 weeks, took a week after that to start feeling better. Your body will tell you if you overdo it. I think doing as much as you can is the best therapy. I'm at about 3 months now and feeling good. Walked the dog for hours today. Probably a couple of miles (he makes a lot of stops!) I've had a few days where I had overdone it, some pain for a day or two but rest took care of it. Do your exercises. Good luck
hi julie,
what a wonderful encouraging post .... great to hear this !!!!
now, for all my fellow hippies who are not dancing yet, remember that we all heal at a different rate ....
big warm hug and thank you for sharing, darling

That's brilliant Julie! I love encouraging posts like these 😊
I am still walking with a crutch otherwise I do limp a lot, even though there is no pain. I must get that sorted out when I go to physio I just hope it isn't ingrained into me that that is how I am supposed to walk, since I waited 12 years for this operation and limped every day then.
Apart from that is is still amazing. I can get out of bed and off the loo without crying that my hip had locked with excrusiating pain. I feel almost like a woman again and not someone To pity.
Hope you all get there in the end
Hugs to all. Xx
Wow that is truly amazing .. I am 4 weeks post op and if I danced at a party they would think I was doing the monster mash !😜
It was a Diwali party. So more moving your arms and hands than hips. But was good fun to feel normal again
