Have now been taken of Amiodorone tablets and prescribed Sotalol 40mg
its early days but surly nothing could be as awfull as Amiodorone would appreciate comment from anyone on Sotalol.
I am being slowly weaned off Ami. I do get vivid dreams and general tiredness.
Had Sotalol with aspririn for 10 years... It worked fine and dandy. Awaiting some other tests now as my ticker has decided to change the rules. On Ami and Pradaxa now. I get technicolour dreams, sometimes bad nightmares. An episode of breathlessness. My specialist says that Ami is a "dirty drug", but it has it's uses.We'll see what hapens, but still alive!
Thank you for your post. It's so good to hear of other people's experience with Soltalol. I have been on this drug for two weeks having been taken off Amiodorone . So far so good with the Soltarol as the side affects are not so noticeable as when I was on the Amiodorone but I have to say that it certainly kept my AF under control so I hope it works for you.
