I have been on 10 mg of amitriptyline for migraines. I just had to start taking a muscle relaxer for back pain and was told to stop amitriptyline cold turkey. I did ,even though I was nervous, and have had no side effects from stopping

Once I'm done with muscle relaxers I guess I might have to start at 5mg and then 10mg usually don't feel to good for a few days when starting
It just shows how much medical assessments are so misjudged! I was on 25mg Amitriptyline and was put on muscle relaxers but was not told to stop taking the former at all????? Good to hear you managed your cold turkey easily!
I guess everyone's body handles it differently
