Amlodipine - sore mouth/ulcers

My mum has been on amlodipine for 6 months and since taking has experienced sore mouth, swollen tongue and gums. She has been repeatedly told by GP the BP won't be causing it although having stumbled across this site I'm having doubts.

Would be interested to know if anyone else has had similar side effects.

The dentist, at the same pracice as my doc, told me that Amlodipne can cause swollen and redden gums,,,,

Thanks for your reply. My mum was also told she had swollen gums by her GP but again no mention of link with these tablets but we think otherwise.
