Anal bleeding.

Hi, I'm new here & hoping for a little information/similar experiences from anyone else. a month ago I accidentally left my menstrual cup in longer than I should, I got quite ill which makes me feel that this is when my problem 1st started. I went to the toilet & strained quite a bit, when I went to wipe myself I noticed bright red blood on the tissue paper, the next day I didn't strain & there was no blood. This has been happening for a month now, when I strain a lot there's red blood & when I don't there's nothing. I have seen like a sparse webbing of blood round my stool but it's mostly on the tissue paper. I have noticed I've had mucus on my stool as well. I thought it was going away because the blood was disappearing & turning into a more watery red & there's very little of it, however I recently started taking the pill which caused me to have diarrhea, now that my body has settled into taking the pill I noticed when I strained recently, bright red blood was on the tissue paper again. I thought leaving my menstrual cup in somehow caused it as that's when it all started, but also recently I read that mouldy houses can cause rectal bleeding & my room has a lot of it which I'm constantly trying to fight back. I was wondering if anyone can shed any light on this.

Hi

I can rate to this as the exact same thing happens with me but unfortunately I ave been in an ongoing battle with my doctors surgery and it has taken me 6 months so far to get referred to the gastro specialist. I can't offer any advice but all I can suggest is go to your doctor and don't give up keep going until further tests are done. Also on te mean time keep away from all good that can cause any sort of large stool ie apples, cherries, nectarines, white bread, crisps etc

Thank you for replying - I think I might end up having an on-going battle with the doctor's as well. The bleeding has stopped now for the passed few days so they've just told me to stop worrying about it but I'm like 'but I WAS bleeding! That has to be a concern!' But they've just swept it aside as nothing. I'll just have to keep trying smile

hope it gets sorted out with you!

That sounds soo like piles you could try using a topical cream from the chemist or Witch Hazel soakes on cotton wood and placed tightly, if it stops the problem, you know its piles.

Is there any stinging at all or itching?

Thanks for your reply. I'm not too sure it is piles since I've had it for almost over 2 months, the doctors have told me it's nothing, but I went again recently and they told me I have a bug in my gut. I've not had any stinging or itching. I've recently suffered from nausea for a month now too, so I don't know if it's connected. I'm going back to the doctor again next week.

Third times a charm!
