Does anyone else do this?My husband has bad aniexty where he does everything so fast and just in a hurry for about everything.. driving, talking, shopping, mowing the lawn, etccc I don't like it and it makes me feel uncomfortable.. So tonight he was eating fast and probably didn't realize he was full and kept eating.. he chokes and spits the food up... very scary for kids to see- after a few minutes he starts eating again!!!! WHY does he do this?? --last time was about a month ago. He refuses help and says I'm verbally abusive because I want him to speak with a therapist.. He also claims he doesn't have aniexty but that's not true as Dr gave him a low dose of something for anxiety to take when he can't sleep.
my boyfriend is the same but he has ADHD everything is rushed he has no patience
look into it
Thank-you for responding!!! I originally thought it was ADHD but Dr said aniexty.. Either way he is in denial.. But choking and spitting up the food is scary to us-- not to him.. Will look into it as it could cause other problems internally too
Wow. His behavior seems obsessive and confrontational. Has he always been like this or has this become gradual? For your own sanity, I’d recommend that you first talk to a medical professional and explain what is going on with your husband.. It may be more than anxiety and a full medical exam may help to explain his behavior.
Yes Yes yes.. I agree.. I believe it’s getting worse as he ages but he is in denial and refuses any help. I am seeing a therapist now because I feel I need an outlet (can’t tell my family everything and friends just say divorce).. My kids are in HS and act more mature with manners than him and they know this! When they come to me, I just remind them that their dad is a good person and sometimes he can’t help the way he is. Also that none of it (he gets angry too) is their fault.
