Ankle condition, walking after 16 weeks

Hie everyone, I fractured talus body 16 weeks ago. I wore a cast for 12 weeks of immobilisation. 4 weeks ago I removed it and started weight bearing. Talus body hasn't fully healed yet abd doctor said I may walk on it. It tales a year to fully heal. So first week i walked with crutches and second week with one crutch. Now I am walking without crutches but with noticeable limp. There is no oain while walking but when i do strict movements or try to bear my full and extra weight i feel little pain in my ankle. Ankle condition is good there is no red color and swelling. But I feel some discomfort while walking. Guys I went to many docs and they said to walk. So doesn't it damage my injury because Im afraid of walking a lot and my talus fracture hasn't fully healed yet. Give some suggestions

If more than one doctor has told you that you can walk on it then you probably can.  If you were having pain I would say take it easy as pain is your body’s way of saying whoa, stop, wait........but without pain, enjoy being able to get around.  Many times the psychological aspects of breaking a bone are ignored.  It can trigger fear, ptsd, and depression if you are NWB for a while.  I can understand your doubt.......maybe find a doctor that will explain to you why it’s okay to walk on it even though it’s not 100% healed.  And maybe they can alleviate some of your reservations.

Maybe a physiotherapist could advise you?
